Little update, I haven't managed to come on here in a few days. I've had a lot going on. I got attacked in London didn't I! So my phone has been stolen, which means I can't do outfit of the day until my new phone arrives, but it's all good. I'm fine.

I'll be back soon. Watch this space.

Thug Life

As I mentioned in my last post, I had to go to court today, it went well, but I have another court date later on in the year, so I hope that goes well. Anyway today for my 'smart attire' I wore my Lana Del Ray for H&M top, a cheap H&M blue skirt that I think cost me £2.99, and some new creepered shoes I got from Office sale, they cost me a very good looking £13.50.

Later on in the evening me, my friends and my fella all went out for a lovely meal to cheer each other up, my best mate got me a card which actually made me so happy and cheered me up tenfold. I took a photo of her today as she was wearing an amazing tee. She got it from Urban Outfitters for £22, it makes me smile lots.

Konvict

Hey, sorry I've been off for a few days. I have had a fun filled weekend, full of food and booze. I went out on Saturday I got really drunk and my fella had to drag me home, oops. He's a keeper though because I blew chunks and he still thinks the world of me. Today I had university and this is what I was wearing... A dress that I got from ASOS a few years ago from a little boutique called Little Miss Sew, it has some skull and cross bone detail on the bottom, I think it's beautiful. I'm also wearing some red creepers that I got from eBay for £15, a hoody from H&M put with a sleeveless denim jacket I got from Primarni & a red bow that I got from a charity shop.

This afternoon/early evening me, Jess and my friend Jacob went to get a Wagamama. Mmmm Katsu Curry is incredible even if it's full of calories. I also got a Miso soup and it came in this cute little soup bowl. Almost stole it, but the waitress was looking at me. It was so lovely to catch up with Jacob, I did see him out the other night but I don't really remember much.

Me and Jacob out on Saturday.

Got home and there was a letter and it was my Diploma I got from Middlesex for Fashion, how very lovely of them... I guess I did get something out of my 2 years there. I'm at my friends house at the moment watching Evan Almighty, trying to chill and not think about the fact I have to go to court tomorrow. Yeah thats right I made a boo boo and now I have a court date which is tomorrow, if I'm being totally honest with you, I'm scared outta my mind. I really don't know what to do. Just for the record I didn't do anything horrible, I was just a bit unlucky... in the wrong place at the wrong time some would say.

Feel it is a bit fitting seeing as I'm at court tomorrow.

Venice

Oh my Venice is a beautiful city, I only visited for a few days and these pictures don't really do the place justice, but believe me when I say it's amazing. My parents took me as a child, but I can't remember thinking so highly of the place! I went beginning of this month for like 4 days, it was a 'study trip' not a holiday we went for research purposes only, but had an amazing time and managed to have 2 nights out drinking. For those that live else where than Europe you'll think the trip was a complete steal at £350 flights & hotel for 3 nights.

The second day we went to Biennale which is an Architecture exhibition going on in Venice at the moment, it was the best exhibition I've ever visited, and I have been to a fair few. If you want to read up about it there is a section on Biennale in the recent copy of Blueprint magazine. This photo is of me in the exhibition stood in front of a projection, I thought it looked really cool so I got a snap.

These are my beautiful friends that I went with, Jess (roses) and Helen. This was our last night out in Venice so we dressed up, and I think we all looked beautiful. We had drunk a bit too much sparkling rose... 3euro a bottle. Cheap & delicious.

Also delicious is Italian food. We devoured those pizzas and I'm not afraid to admit it!

 Outfits in Venice:
Top - Lana Del Ray for H&M (£14.99)
Denim shorts - Topshop (with a patch I made sewn on)

90's Hawaiian pin-up shirt - The Ragged Priest Vintage (ASOS Marketplace) - £22.50

Dogtooth & Chain blazer - Motel (£15)
Black dress with lace neck insert - H&M

All in all Venice was fun and inspiring. I would recommend anyone to go visit.

Poisonous

Evening all, so its now Thursday evening/Friday morning. Had a spiffing day today, went to university which started off shit, with this really patronising 'academic' teacher, but then I had Pauline who is the best teacher ever and also my friends mum, so that cheered up my day. So today (during the day) I wore a Sonic Youth jumper I got in Camden a couple of years back, I love it, also sporting some dyed denim shorts from Topshop, and my Nike trainers that I got from TK Maxx for something ridiculous like £20.

In the early evening me and my friends went out for a coffee. This is a lovely place called "Cafe Rouge" (above photo) it does the best coffees in Basingstoke. Trumps Starbucks and Costa, to the right of the photo is my best friend pulling an insane face, she is just getting over food poisoning at the moment so that's why we went for a sophisticated coffee, and hiding behind the pillar is my other friend who clearly doesn't like photos.

After we had coffee we went to out local gay night in Poison Bar it's an awesome bar, but the nights there at the moment are pretty dead because of term time and everyone is off to study or various other things. This is what I wore in the evening, crop top jumper once again from Topshop (I honestly don't shop there as much as this blog is letting on), a starscape print skirt that's from River Island in the sale for £10 which is a bit of a bargain. I love it. Sorry about the shit camera again, Iphones either do a great job or just don't. Later on after this I went to my mate Luke's house he has just come back from travelling Europe for 2 months, he showed me his photos and we watched Paranormal Activity because I had never seen it, I thought it'll be shit... and it was shit. Going to see the 4th one tomorrow with a group of friends so now I sort of know what I'm expecting, lets just hope the company is better than the film.

I also seemed to have spent my life savings at Benefit. I won't go into how much because I'm pretty sure you can work it out, but I decided I needed to stock up. Also have this new fella don't I, so even though he won't give a flying fuck what I look like it's nice to be presentable right? Also get paid tomorrow so who cares.

This is a beautiful song, for a beautiful day.

Ring it

Howdy, I've been at work all day, which is pretty boring, but my guy took me out on yet another date tonight (lucky me), so I've managed to do an 'outfit of the day' sorry its a mirror snap... didn't really have anyone to take a photo of me at 6.30pm. Anyway, I am sporting my new flatforms (River Island), some printed trousers (H&M), which I have like 3 pairs of in different prints because I love them so much. I'm also wearing a tee that I got from Urban Outfitters when I lived in London, it's a good top. I do miss living in London and being able to go into an Urban Outfitters rather than online browsing. Mind you only living 30 mins out of London isn't bad so I shouldn't really complain.

There isn't much else to say really, oh apart from collecting my stuff from my ex's went well, I walked in, picked up my things and left. Pain free just how I like it, so that was good. I'm also so happy I have my things back... I got my decks, wohoooo, can start spinning some of my records at parties, which will be more than fun. Any how I shall leave you with a tune.

Talkin' 'bout my generation

Hey, it's Tuesday, and it's actually been a pretty exciting/stressful day which is good because it means I can write an exciting first post. Above is me, hello, in my 'outfit of the day', which consisted of a crop top jumper (Topshop), a sheer maxi skirt (also Topshop), a totes amaze tote bag with my initial 'N' on it (Alphabetbags.com) and a scarf that I'm wearing as a bow on my head (H&M). I have to apologise for the awful photo quality, we (me and my uni friends) found a great location for the photo but no matter how many times I took the photo my iPhone decided to make me look like a ghost, but you get the gist.

I also made a few purchases today, a JPG diet coke (39p Tesco), I got 4 in the end for my friends, because I'm such a lovely person and I am willing to spend that much on them. I got a new bag too, which is an incredible army print it was a bit of a steal as well, got it for £15 in the Topshop sale. I also brought some zebra print flatforms also a steal, £15 from River Island.

I'll go on to explain my day, I'm trying to look for a new job, as my current part-time position is a bit of a let down, I won't go into detail as putting up hate about your job on the internet never gets you far. I've been handing out CV's pretty much all day, which was a complete ball-ache and I hate to say it, 'but in the current climate' it's fucking hard. Then I got a text from the guy I'm currently with and he's going to take me on a lovely winter break somewhere beginning of next month, it cheered me up tenfold as there is nothing more I love than getting away (I have recently been to Venice, I'm going to put a post up about that trip as soon as I find the lead to my SLR).
This new guy is a complete babe. He's been so lovely to me, it has been a bit of a whirlwind romance... I met up with him for a friendly drink a couple of weeks back after having a really shit break-up and since then we've been meeting loads, I have known him for quite a while mind, and I did know he had a huge crush on me when I was with my ex. It's just a complete contrast of how I got treated not so long ago, I've been so many places with this guy already, we went Bristol, he took me on a date on Saturday after I came home from Venice, and now he wants to take me away. My ex I think took me out twice in 2 years. I have a bit of an awkward plan of 'picking up my things' from my ex's place tomorrow. I'm literally going to grab my things and go, I don't even want to make eye contact with the guy. He put me through so much worry, and made me feel pretty shit about myself so he deserves no eye contact.
This evening after work, I finished at 10.30pm (yak) I went to pop and see my best friend. I hadn't seen her in like 2 weeks which is a fucking long time for us, she has had a pretty rotten time lately. She's got this girlfriend, its her first girlfriend after two long term relationships with guys, and her parents just don't get it, and are just giving her a hard time. I think its hard for them to grasp that she is neither gay nor straight, her dad thinks it's 'greedy'. I'm a firm believer that you love a person for who they are not their sex or race so it completely mind boggles me when people don't understand. I know it must be tough for parents to see their kids to grow up as different people than they were expecting. I think when people have kids they have this idea of them being mini versions of themselves, but it just isn't like that. Life is just different, generations are different. Our generation is exposed to a lot more than say our parents. I also see the same in my mum and the way she gets with me sometimes, its not on the same level, but she hates that I'm never at home. First of all I have previously moved out so it's not that she misses me its the 'treating the house like a hotel' thing. I work 35 hrs a week on top of being at university so this gives me no time to myself as it is, I have coursework to do and friends to see, both of these things are more important than sitting on my arse watching TV. I think its because when she was my age she was engaged, had a mortgage and was set for life. She never really went out and her life was just that, which is fantastic... if it all works out like that for you, but it just hasn't for me. I want a career I want my 20's to be full of exciting times and learning. I'm not ready to settle, not yet anyway. I have the rest of the world to see.
On that note I shall leave you with a song.
